BACK TO SCHOOL!
The ceremony to launch the 2022-2023 school year took place on Monday 05 September 2022 at 7:30 am on the school premises. Preceded by a procession of pupils from the various classes, watched in admiration by their parents, the traditional raising of the colours took place, followed by a prayer. One of the highlights of this first ceremony was the farewell speech by the Reverend Sister Anastasie Bekono who, after 10 years as Principal of the school, will now take up the post of Regional Superior of the Sisters Servants of the Holy Heart of Mary. She then introduced the school's new Sister Principal, Sister Hortense Victorine NYAMOUTH. The microphone was then passed to Sister Anastasie, who, after thanking the parents and educational partners of the school as well as Sister Anastasie for the trust placed in her, addressed the students and staff in turn, reassuring them of the continuity of the objectives of integral growth and excellence of the school. She then presented diplomas of excellence to the students ENAMA MEKOGO and NGASSAKI Pascal, who obtained the distinction of excellent in the BEPC 2022 session. He also paid tribute to Ms BITONGO Rosalie, who will be retiring in October after 27 years with the school. The Vice-President of APECY, Professor NAMA MVOMO, also welcomed the Reverend Sister Principal Hortense to the community. Referring to an African proverb that says: "The first steps of the dance don't make you sweat", he was keen to show his support and that of all the parents by reassuring her that her stay would not be difficult because she is not alone. Former pupil POUAMOU CHIMOUN was also invited, as he is 4 years old.e in the history of Cameroon, to obtain the distinction of excellent in the Baccalauréat C. He encouraged his fellow students to give the best of themselves and to surpass themselves in order to achieve their goals. As he said: "Success is the only medicine against the pain of effort". After thanking the college for its help, he gave the floor to former students MBANG Florian and ATCHOKA Loïc, who gave advice to the current generation. They were followed by Professor ONGUENE ESSONO, Head of CREFSCO, who gave the students two keys to success. Firstly, the doors of the college, opened by the parents to lift them to the pinnacle of success. And secondly, the reciprocal welcome of the college, which accepts the pupils' desire to succeed by providing them with the necessary materials. Before closing, the traditional torch was passed on to the top winner of the 6eSANDJO NJONJOH of 6e C, by influencer POUAMOU CHIMOUN Foyet. Finally, Father Jean Augustin blessed the 2022-2023 school year, which was declared open by the Reverend Sister Principal, and the pupils entered their classrooms.
